Incident In Blindwood is a solo project I have been working on. It is a mystery puzzle game set in a medieval village. You’ve been sent to investigate the newly built cathedral, and why communication has fallen silent.

Narrative

The player investigates the happenings in a small village. The mystery setting requires the right mood and set-up to check the right boxes with regards to how the player should feel when they play the game.

Gameplay

The player controls a character who has a toolkit which expands as they investigate the village. These tools, all with different functions, progressively unlock new parts of the world as the player delves deeper into the mystery.

Development

This is entirely made in Unreal Engine 5, using level art, lighting and audio tools. I’ve built my own blueprints and visual scripts, complemented by marketplace assets (art assets only).
